This week Year 5 went time travelling! During our Creative Day on Tuesday, we all dressed in fantastic Anglo-Saxon or Viking costumes (but there was no fighting between the tribes!) to enjoy some hands-on historical learning. Fun-packed activities included spying on long ships and even making a Viking ship, creating card warrior helmets and crafting jewellery fit for a king, queen (or Thane!) The day was rounded off with a story telling saga session on the field just as the Danes would do… A wonderful time was had by all and we cannot wait until our next one!
