On Wednesday 20th November 2019, WJS played their first league netball match of the season against Potley Hill Primary School at home. Even though it was tough, WJS held their heads high when Potley scored the first goal in the first quarter. As the whistle blew signalling the end of the first quarter, WJS changed positions and at the start of the second quarter, Emily scored the second goal of the match for WJS, putting us level with Potley. In the dying seconds of the quarter, Potley scored once more. However, luck was on WJS’s side when they scored two goals in the third quarter! As the final quarter commenced, the tension was high as Akshaiyan and Davey worked together to score another goal for WJS. Suddenly out of nowhere, Potley managed to score again. The game ended in a draw of 4-4 and Emily Gray was awarded Player of the Match. We all enjoyed our first league game and are looking forward to the next one!
